Our Work and Vision for Kenya
It is well-researched and confirmed that, within sub-Saharan Africa, Kenya is one of the countries with a high prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS.
Kenya’s internal research has categorized the lake region as one of the leading areas with HIV/AIDS prevalence, specifically Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay, and Migori counties.
This is due to cultural beliefs and traditions of inheriting men and women who have lost their partners without proper confirmation of health status.
Additionally, harsh economic activities, such as selling fish for sex, have caused many to become infected with the virus, making this region the poorest part of Kenya.
As a result, many families are languishing in poverty, and there are many children left orphans, either partially or totally.
